T5.1 Analysis: Functional analysis of the wide range of expert tools to be developed: 2D Data Analysis, Regional Queries, Change Analysis, 3D Data Analysis and Modelling. The functionality of each tool will be in accordance with the user requirements and the overall architecture/structure of the system.
T5.2 Design: Expert tools constitute building blocks of the Multimedia Map Extension of the system [fig. 2]. According to their functionality they belong to separate tools/modules, enabling a more efficient performance of the system. The multimedia map file format supports the transfer of graphics format to the multimedia environment. Communication between the multimedia authoring system and multimedia map extension component, is performed by the authoring system's built in scripting language
T5.3 Implementation: Implementation of single modules, each covering one basic function of the expert tool. Use of Internet-compatible object-oriented development environments like Java, JavaScript. Connection to graphical user interface.
